Dimensions of thin bricks
There are many different sizes of brick slips available we supply imperial size and standard metric sizes and the cottager range which are slightly shorter and not quite so high. Our 73mm high bricks are an imperial size but this can vary slightly between each supplier. The size of the standard metric is 65mm in height and the cottage range is on average 62mm. We can cut real ricks to a thickness of 20mm or more below this many of the clay ones will become unstable and may break when going through the saw. we also offer many types of cast bricks which are made using a light weight cement based product and the average thickness of these is 18mm.
We can also cut full size bricks into a thin corner slip that is on a 90 degree angle with a short return and a long return these are a great way to finish any building project as it allows you to get the appearance that a convention size brick has been used but only takes up a small area of a room.
