What do Brick slip corners do

When you are cladding any surface with brick slips you may have external 90 degree angles on the project such as a return around or a wall or window reveal and even on the outside of a fire place, brick slip corners also know as corner pistols allow you to complete a professional and tidy finish that will look like full size conventional bricks have been used.
Generally when you use a corner slip  it will be identical in colour, shape, texture and size of flats pieces although some builders and tilers will add character to a wall by using a contrasting brick such a red flat slip with a cream or grey corner pistol.  They are also used for making arches over doorways and above inglenook fireplaces as they are light in weight and can go around curves quite easily.

Old looking RECLAIMED brick slips

Old reclaimed bricks are very hard to buy now days and are in short supply as well as being very expensive, we have produced a range of reclaimed looking brick slips which cost a fraction of the price and the major benefit is that they are on average only 20mm thick, allowing you to tile them to the wall rather than have to have a brick layer in to build a complete wall which also takes up a lot of valuable space up in any room. Very realist with the same texture and feel of conventional bricks

Brick slips Create a warm and inviting appearance to rooms

Thin Bricks also know as brick slips are much thinner and lighter than a conventional size brick and much easier to install, you do not need any specialised skilled labour or expensive professionals.
First thing to consider is what colour brick slips you require to give you that special warm look you are after. Then measure the wall you intend to clad by measuring the height and multiplying it by the length this will give you your square meterage.  Most importantly when starting the project make sure you get a straight line at the bottom where you intend to start as this will help with every row up the wall. Then spread some adhesive onto the wall using a 4-6mm notched trowel do not go to far inform of yourself as the glue will start to dry out then spread a small amount directly onto the Brick tile and push it to the wall. One you have completed the whole of the surface leave for a couple of days to let the stone adhesive dry out before you begin jointing .
